There is a very interesting short book about the history of "The King's Highway" and the very early Quaker cemetery by the Pennsauken Creek on my (our) 7th Great Grandfather William Matlack's land. It is written in 1905 by Asa Matlack Stackhouse for a local history meeting they had at the site of the burial ground. It gives so much history of the area and the Society of Friends and I absolutely love the way in which it is written. Very interesting and I'd love to know if any of you know of the area where it is actually located and if you recognize any of the places described along the King's Highway.
