Their Life
John Borton and Ann Kinton of Hillsdown,
on the Northampton river (now called Rancocas), Burlington County,
yeoman, were natives of Aynho, in the County of Northampton, England,
who emigrated to New Jersey with their children. They were married in 1658 in England.
John Borton, along with William Penn and another of our ancestors, John Paine, were signers of the West Jersey Constitution.
Their daughter Esther married John Haines who is said to have traveled with them to New Jersey in 1679 when they came to America. Their daughter Mary married Francis Austin II and are Rebecca's ancestors.
